Adopt a tiger

Adopt a tiger

Sponsor a Sumatran Tiger with the RSPB. Deforestation and poaching have reduced their numbers to 300 and the RSPB is working with its sister organisation, Burung Indonesia, to manage rainforest to protect the tiger. £24 for 6 months or £48 for the year

Adopt a tiger

Adopt Lumpur the Sumatran tiger now

The work ZSL is doing in Indonesia is vital to help the majestic & beautiful Sumatran tiger. These stunning animals have been hit hard by changes to the Indonesian landscape, most specially deforestation. ZSL is working with companies in Indonesia to maintain connectivity across the region, since the islands are now too small to maintain a viable tiger population.

Oil & gas companies & demands for palm oil have put a stop to conservation areas being large enough to sustain the tiger population on their own.

Many of the last remaining conservation areas are too fragmented for tigers to survive, so the Dangku Tiger Conservation Programme aims to ensure that, by working together, animals such as these tigers will survive as their conservation areas are connected.

Adopt Lumpur! He's pictured left, & he's a quiet-loving & fairly private Sumatran tiger at London Zoo. He's 12, and he loves a good nap
